ILT OJT Train-the-Trainer
Goal
To create an on-the-job (OJT) train-the-trainer (T3) course that could be used across the organization and for any business unit.
Approach
Over the years, only one OJT training program has stood the test of time: the “Training Within Industry (TWI)” process. It’s the only training program that has trained over a million trainers and has been acknowledged as helping win a world war and rebuild a nation. Based on this premise, I created an updated model of the TWI OJT program.
Results
The course was well received, employees productivity continued, and we were able to meet our regulatory requirements for having a structured/formalized trainer program. In the end, I created the following program materials:
